Why Grace?

My purpose and fervent hope for this site is to lift up the Grace that God freely gives to all who believe in Jesus Christ as Son and living Savior. Grace should be the distinguishing mark of Christianity. We experience Grace in the love and person of Jesus Christ. By Grace, God provides everything necessary for an individual to be a follower of Jesus – including even the faith to respond and the strength to succeed – independent of any actions or omissions by that individual.

Other religions demand compliance or performance before acceptance; God’s Grace accepts us before we are acceptable, then changes our character over time into the persons we were meant to be. God loves us not because we are lovable, but because God’s nature is to love. And nothing we do or fail to do can cause God to love us any more or any less than we are already loved.

Unlike adherents of other religions, Christians have no need to earn God’s approval by good works or performance, and no need to worry whether their own performance or deeds are enough to merit God’s approval. Jesus Christ has done that acceptable work completely, and offers it freely to all who will receive it.
